Challenge:
The PlayStation® Underground CD ROM Magazine is a quarterly subscription based product for PlayStation® owners who want to stay on top of the latest developments and upcoming titles for the gaming console. Since the disk isn't associated with a magazine or other publication, the interface had to be rich and immersive. Multi-level menus were necessary to accommodate a larger amount of content. Expanded content also required an interface that integrated a functional design with more comprehensive disk interaction.
Creating a compelling interactive world is what video games are all about. LifeLike's programmers and artists have background in game design and bring this expertise to the development of the PlayStation Underground. By combining a strong understanding of interface design with the programming and art skills of game designers, LifeLike continues to develop entertaining and high quality PlayStation® Underground disks.
Sony stays in touch with its consumers in a unique
way through this interactive magazine built specifically for the PlayStation
game console. Game Developers take years and millions of dollars to develop
games, but LifeLike brings this same level of interaction, emersion and entertainment
to a quarterly disk in 1-2 months for a fraction of the cost.
